The Inheritance of Forsaken Warmth
These sketches of children were created during my residency in Cannes, France. They explore a quiet, universal moment: the day our parents set us down and never lift us again. It is a passage we do not remember, yet it reshapes both parent and child, as physical closeness slowly turns into emotional distance. Our parents, too, were once set down, inheriting the same gesture they would one day repeat. In Cannes, a city shaped around children, I observe this gentle, melancholic threshold toward independence, not only as a parent but as an artist.
